Why isn't chili crunch cream cheese a thing?

PREP TIME: 10 minutes | COOK TIME: 10 minutes | Serves 2

Sesame Sourdough from Bread Bandits


INGREDIENTS:

  • Sesame sub roll

  • 4 eggs

  • 1 tbs butter

  • 1 tomato

  • 1 green onion

  • 2 slices cheddar cheese (or your cheese of choice)

  • 1/4 cup plain cream cheese

  • 1 tbs chili crunch

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Preheat oven to 300F. Once preheated, add loaf of bread to toast in the oven for about 8-10 minutes. Keep an eye on it.

  • While the bread is toasting, prepare your chili crunch cream cheese by combining plain cream cheese and chili crunch in a small bowl. Adjust ratio to your preference.

  • Add butter to a pan and warm on medium heat. While butter is warming, in a separate bowl, scramble eggs. Add scrambled eggs to pan and continue stirring with a spoon; add salt and pepper to taste. Continue stirring until they’ve reached a soft scramble consistency (again, to your preference). They’re eggs, this is a breakfast sandwich, honestly just cook them however you’d prefer.

  • Slice tomato and green onion. Remove bread from the oven and slice in half lengthwise.

  • Smear chili crunch cream cheese on both sides of the bread. Add scrambled eggs, green onion, and tomato (add a pinch of salt on top of the tomato).

  • Cut in half and enjoy!
