The quintessential summertime dessert. The addition of honey whipped cream takes it to the next level, it’s like a warm hug. This recipe is made with fresh peaches but can be swapped to include canned peaches (1 quart, including the juice).
PREP TIME: 20 minutes | BAKE TIME: 40 minutes | Serves 8

INGREDIENTS:
Peaches
6 fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 tsp salt
Batter
6 tbs butter
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
3/4 cup milk
Whipped Cream
1 cup heavy cream
2 tbs honey (adjust sweetness level to preference)
1 tsp vanilla extract
INSTRUCTIONS:
Add sliced peaches to saucepan on medium/low heat with sugar and salt, stir. Continue cooking on medium heat until sugar is dissolved and a syrup is created from the peach juice and sugar. Remove pan from heat and set aside.
Preheat oven to 350F. Cube 6 tbs of butter and add to 9x13in baking tray. Add butter cubes to tray and put into oven while preheating for butter to melt. Once butter is melted, remove tray from the oven.
To prepare the batter, mix all dry ingredients in a large bowl. Add in milk and stir until smoothly combined.
Pour the batter mixture into the baking pan with melted butter and smooth into an even layer. Then, spoon the peaches and juice over the batter in an even layer.
Bake at 350F for about 40-50 minutes until golden.
To make the whipped cream, combine all ingredients in a bowl and whisk by hand or use an electric mixer. Whip until stiff peaks are formed.
Serve warm with honey whipped cream.
