Matcha Affogato

Matcha over espresso—yes, Pls! It's the easiest table-side dessert and tastes like a creamy matcha vanilla bean milkshake. Add a swig of Irish Cream and make it a nightcap.

PREP: 10 min | Serves 1




INGREDIENTS: 

  • 1 tsp matcha powder (preferably Pique)

  • 1/2 cup hot water

  • 1 tsp maple syrup

  • 3 scoops vanilla bean ice cream

  • Cinnamon sprinkle (for garnish)


INSTRUCTIONS: 

  • Boil water and pour over matcha powder into a mug or small bowl. Whisk with a matcha whisk until fully combined (there should be no clumps of powder). Then, add maple syrup and whisk again to combine.

  • Add three scoops of vanilla bean ice cream to a glass. Then, pour warm matcha over the ice cream.

  • Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon.
